Maintain workplace safety

Welcome to the workshop – Maintain workplace safety.

This workshop describes the skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor the organisation’s work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs as part of a small work team.

The workshop applies to individuals who have a key role in maintaining workplace safety in an organisation.

In their role, they closely monitor aspects of work associated with the safe delivery of products and services, and they have a responsibility for influencing safety in the workplace.

Workshop outcomes:

• Assist with incorporating WHS policies and procedures into work team processes
• Support participative arrangements for managing WHS
• Support the organisation’s procedures for providing WHS training
• Participate in identifying hazards, and assessing and controlling risks for the work area
